 Great Product, Wish I could use it more September 22, 2008
I've had this seat in the back of my car for a few months. I have been to many restaurants where the table was too thick or too unstable (one central leg) to use it. My son (7 months) seems to like sitting in it, and it has a pocket in back to stash stuff (what to put in it I'm not really sure.) Most restaurant table are not big enough to use this. With a high chair, the baby sits back from the table and can't grab for things at the table so easily, with this, you lose half of the table because your child will have a huge arm reach. It does fold compactly, but a carrying case would have been nice to keep it clean, closed and easy to carry. It was easy to put together, although the buckle strap broke the first time I used it. It can still be fastened with some fussing, but annoying nonetheless.
I think it's much better suited as an alternative to a high chair at Grandma's house or even your own house.
In the end, the restaurant's high chair is just simpler all around, even if you get one of the high chair covers to take out with you.

When I first saw this chair I thought how adorable, and our 6 month old daughter was in love with the monkey. It was easy to put together and easy to clean. After using this chair maybe about 10 times the plastic support arm broke. I am very disappointed in this, and will be looking for a replacement that is built better.

I BOUGHT THIS ITEM FOR THE FACT THAT I TRAVEL ALLOT. THIS ITEM IS AMAZING, SOME PEOPLE FROM RECENT REVIEWS MAY NOT HAD TO AGREE WITH THE PRODUCT BUT IT HAS DONE ME JUSTICE IN MY TRAVELS AND HOOKS UP PERFECT TO MY TABLE. I DO RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. ITS SO CUTE AND HAS JUST BEEN PERFECT, I CANT REALLY BRAG ABOUT IT ENOUGH. ITS STURDY AND DOES THE JOB IT WAS MEANT TO DO...

Like another reviewer noted, this chair will not fit on some tables. Specifically, tables that have high skirts underneath. Most restaurants will probably not have skirts under their tables, but you should consider this when eating out.
Otherwise:
The chair is really sturdy and works great on tables without skirts. In our particular case, we have a skirt but managed to "adjust" the chair so we could semi-permanently install it on our kitchen table. If I need to bring it to a restaurant, it will take me about a minute and a half to unhook from the table.
When installed, the chair is very solid, almost like an extension of the table. It sure beats a high chair in many respects. However, I think you will view this product as an additional tool rather than a replacement in that regard.

It is such a shame. This chair is adorable and is very strong. However it does not fit at any of the resturants I have been at (which are normal everyday resturants). It only fit at my dining room table and even that was a struggle to get it on. I am very disappointed because it is so cute and it appears to be made with high quality material. Bad, bad, bad design.
