terrible product January 8, 2009 I was really hopeful about this product. I knew it had mixed reviews, but my cycle is very regular and ovulation is pretty consistent, so I thought it would work. However, the screen was very dim from the moment I opened it, and the watch was not comfortable to wear. I went through a sensor within 10 days, and now the next one is drying up. I have followed all the directions accurately, including its storage, and it seems that the battery is dying. Ridiculous, after 10 days! I am grateful for Amazon's return policy, and when I get my money back, I will purchase something better.
DO NOT BUY December 15, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am disappointed in the Ovwatch. I purchased it after reading the other mixed reviews about the product. So I knew not to expect a pregnancy, but I was still hopeful.
The issues I had were the following:
1)The first sensor dried out through my cycle. I followed the directions, but never could really get it to work properly after then. I did get an ovulation notice, but I don't for sure know that it was accurate. I normally can feel when I am ovulating and I didn't have that feeling when the watch said I was ovulating. 2)The second sensor didn't dry, but it was often that I would have to test and retest to make sure a connection was made. I had to wear the watch rather tight to get an OK connection notice, which cause me to wake up w/ a swollen hand. The watch shortened my cycle time from the first cycle, and again I was unsure if the ovulation notice was accurate. 3)The third sensor was much like the second. I had to test all the time, I got another swollen hand, my cycle time was shortened again, and I didn't feel like I was ovulating when the watch said I was. Not to mention that the watch was not comfortable to wear.
You must be wondering why I kept trying w/ the watch, well because I bought a 3-month pack, but I will not buy another and recommend you don't either.
Awesome December 1, 2008 We got this after our Clearblue easy monitor once again failed. We used it for over a year without results. At the end the machine started malfunctioning. When I'd turn off the m button it'd reset its self to day 1 or another day like 62 or something. I called customer service and was put through a menu to choose what product I had a question about. I took that to mean their operators knew about the product they were giving advice on. The operator that helped me not once but twice didn't know much about the product or how to help me. After paying $162 for the machine and $250 for the sticks for a total of $412, I had nothing to show for it. I through the machine in the garbage where it belongs.
I happened to be reading a magazine one day and they were talking about the watch. I figured what do I have to lose? I ordered the 3 month package. The watch band was small so I had to order a bigger one. It came quickly and the operators were beyond nice. Whats more they know about the watch and all of them have used the watch to get pregnant.I did have a few problems starting on day 9 where the watch said my skin was too dry. I had showered and used soap on my arms a short time before putting the watch on. I changed my shower time and when the watch said my skin was too dry I'd wear it for a few more minutes before testing again to allow the moisture to build up. Worked every time. While I didn't get pregnant the first month It worked the next. I am beyond excited to say that we are expecting a baby!
The watch maybe a pain at times but without it I feel confident in saying I wouldn't be pregnant now if it wasn't for this watch.
Best Fertility Product Ever November 19, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I first purchased OV Watch in December of 2005. My husband and I had been trying for almost 1.5 years to get pregnant. I tried every single thing you could imagine: fertility diets, herbs, vitamins, aspirin, cough syrup, fertile lubricants, acupuncture, tonics, etc. I saw a fertility specialist who said we had unexplained infertility. I bought the watch. Simultaneously, we decided to agree to the fertility treatments: Clomid and IUI. The first cycle, we followed the doctor's rules. OV Watch was a perfect match for my trigger shot and fertile period. 2nd cycle, I decided to continue to follow OV Watch's instructions to remain sexually active the WHOLE fertile window. We got pregnant. My daughter is now 2. January of this year (2008) we decided to try again. For two cycles, we "sorta" tried. We just did it without protection when we felt like it. Cycle 3, we pulled out the watch. I got pregnant again my next cycle, cycle 4. Each time, I got pregnant on my 2nd cycle trying to conceive. At first I was concerned about the cost of the watch, but after everything else I had spent on trying to get pregnant, the watch really was nothing. I really hope it works for you, as it did for us. We truly felt it was a miracle!!
OV Watch review November 10, 2008 My husband and I were trying to get pregnant with our second child for exactly two years. We tried herbal supplements for each of us. Because my periods were somewhat irregular we were using ovulation predictor kits that I bought in bulk online. Still no luck. We then decided to go to a fertility center for more help. We found that my husband's Type II diabetes had taken a toll on the quality/quantity of his sperm count. I began taking Clomid and giving myself injections to help the production of eggs. For three months we tried artificial insemination and still nothing happened. Based on information from our doctors, we understood that in vitro fertilization was our best hope of getting pregnant. Because neither of our insurance plans covers this procedure, we decided to take the summer off and try again on our own. One day while reading a magazine I came across an ad for the OV Watch. I had never heard of it but went online to research the product a little. After discussing it with my husband, we felt there was no harm in trying it and we had nothing to lose. Even though I didn't really think the watch would work, (nothing else had) I made sure to follow the directions specifically. Nothing happened the first month and I was sure this would be like everything else we had tried. The second month though to our absolute amazement we became pregnant. I had given up on the hopes that this would happen for us without lots of tests, procedures and the huge expense. We are now five months pregnant with our second daughter and are ecstatic. I couldn't be happier with the OV Watch and our outcome. I highly recommend this product. It is easy to use and no one has to know you are wearing it. You can just wear it at night time. We had so many months of frustration, aggravation and heart ache. Thanks to OV Watch we will be a family of four in March.
