Great gift for you or someone special January 6, 2009
I have not used this product line, but my sisters and nieces say that it is wonderful. I bought this kit for my niece (who is always using my sister's BE makeup). It is a great starter kit for teenage girls, travel or someone who wants to try their product line without a huge commitment. My niece was absolutely thrilled with it. I did look at this product line elsewhere and felt that Amazon offered the best value.
A Good Supplemental Kit to the Starter Collection January 6, 2009
Being a Bare Escentuals user for almost 3 years now, I have to say I'd never go back to other make-ups, but I do have to reign myself in and not buy too much. "What's too much?" you say... if the colors are too dark, too sparkly or too bright, I simply won't wear them. My lifestyle is casual and so I look for soft and earth tones for everyday wear, this 'Go Bare Kit' fits in nicely.
If you are new to BE and received a starter kit, this Go Bare Kit is a nice supplement to that basic kit. Soft colors, more brushes (one of the most expensive elements of using this makeup) and a Buxom Lips tube. For those of you who've not used Buxom Lips products, they tend to tingle when you put them on and do plump up your lips. Most people I've talked to seem to love the sensation and the way the lip gloss and color wears. I have to admit I like the shine and the color, but the tingle still unnerves me a bit.
I don't think this kit would be enjoyed by women with darker complexions, but medium to fair skinned women should find it a good match for their foundations or used alone with only some moisturizer on for quick, fresh look.
