Good keyboard, but not a big deal. October 30, 2008 I've had this keyboard for a while now. The keyboard itself was a gift - the keyset I bought here on Amazon. It seems like a great idea, but the most useful feature has been the two USB ports built into it. The keyset itself is for the most part a standard keyboard layout with a few labels for Everquest II (EQ2). The dedicated keys are all the same as hot-buttons already available on a standard keyboard or just a couple of clicks away on the in-game user interface. The one I've used most often is the Screenshot key.
The media player keys seem like a great idea too, but they only work with Windows Media Player, which I don't use.
I can't find anything wrong with the keyboard or the keyset at all - It's simply not all that useful. It certainly hasn't improved my game or made gameplay any easier. My overall impression is that it's just not worth replacing a standard keyboard for the very limited benefit of this specialized one.
This is just going to end up collecting dust. Maybe it's more useful in other games.
Ideazon Zboard Gaming Keyboard not working October 24, 2008 I bought this product, the keyboard, along with a keyset to play Warhammer online. When I got the Keyboard, the key set was not available, was out of stock. So I had to wait 2-3 weeks to get the keyset. Now everytime I turn my computer on, I get a Windows message saying that ZEngine has stopped working. And my keyset does not work. The keyboard just works as a regular keyboard. Ideazon sent me 2 possible solutions to my problem, but none of them worked. They say they are working on a fix, that should be ready in a week. No news yet. I'm very dissapointed.
Ideazon Z-Board October 6, 2008 I have had no issues with this board so far, I have been playing with it for about a month now. It seems fine. I wasnt sure at first due to some of the other reviews. But I am happy with it. The one thing I can say about it is, it doesnt make the gaming any easier. I guess I was going for something that made WoW a little more fun and less hassel when typing in the trade channels.
Fantastic Product... September 21, 2008 Except for a key sticking every now and then this has been a great product. I really don't have any experience with another gaming keyboard. However when I decided I needed one I did a lot of looking. This keyboard serves as a great gaming keyboard but as a pretty good multi-media keyboard. I am not a typist...but then again I wasn't looking for a keyboard for office use. Another big plus...the game specific keyboards that can be purchaced. I wish they had more of them...like Crysis and CoD 4. I highly recommend this keyboard for you casual gamers out there.
Worked for less than a day! September 12, 2008 I bought this as a birthday present for my husband. It caused him more of a headache than anything. After taking the time to get it installed (had problems with installation) he finally got it going, and it seemed great. Then after about 4 or 5 hours of use it completely quit working.
