Solid product - good for use in a server rack July 29, 2008 This is a good keyboard/mouse solution for a server rack. I don't know if I would like it for everyday use, but for the tasks that I need to perform directly on the server instead of using remote control this is easy to type on and the integrated touchpad means that I don't have a mouse in the way on the keyboard tray.
mini-touch keyboard March 1, 2008 this keyboard requires two ps/1 connections or an adapter plug to use both the keyboard and the touch pad. the touch is very light and repeatedly will duplicate a letter typed (lllll), which i find very frustrating. i use it when some of the keys on my laptop will not work, but i would not want to use it as my only keyboard.
I miss my keyboard January 1, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This keyboard is in use daily for extended workdays for over two years, so has proved to be very durable. Was bought for ergonomic reasons; the touchpad has helped alleviate elbow and shoulder problems.
I recently gave this keyboard to my wife, as her laptop keyboard and touchpad had stopped responding. She loves it, and I miss it! I will probably buy a replacement.
Highly recommended, with some small reservations as listed below.
Positives: - great touchpad. - after getting used to it, good key feel with positive feedback (short key travel) - good size, and good ergonimics - replaces two wires (mouse and keyboard) with one usb connector - no special drivers required; just plug it in and it works
Negatives: - Key placement took some getting used to (insert / delete / page up / page down). - Initially had some problems with repeating keys (debounce), but this went away with use - stiff left and right mouse keys (but they are hardly needed as the touchpad itself handles left and right click)
Products you don't have to worry about! July 30, 2007 We purchase these keyboards for the use of by many people thur out the weeks and have seen this product take plenty of abuse and it still holds up better than other keyboards that we have used in the past I would recommend this product to anyone looking to save space from traditional keyboard!
It DOES solve the space problem - but has some ergonomic issues. June 7, 2006 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I rolled out 6 of these for kiosk use at a NYC musuem and while the size benefits are undeniable (this is a very tiny and portable keyboard) the trackpad isn't much fun to use the keyboard layout is more mushed than on many laptops. (This isn't a laptop keyboard - but it's about the same size and arrangement as one - so the comparison is unavoidable). To be fair the keys have good height and reasonably deep throw - better than most laptops - but the directional arrow keys don't extend down like they do with most laptop keyboards. The action is soft and thumpy - rather than sharp and clicky (a matter of taste). The trackpad is average, but the trackpad buttons, on the front edge feel cheap and don't inspire confidence. This is a keyboard for occasional use - but does fill a need.
